Bob Hagemann Auction and Realty Service hosts hay auctions at The DeLong Company in Union Grove (1313 S. Colony Ave., Union Grove, WI 53182).

Consignments are accepted on the day of sale starting at 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All hay must be at the auction site no later than one-half hour prior to sale start time. Hay arriving later may not be listed on the sale order. It may be sold after the sale is complete.

All bidders must register with proper identification. Hay auction rules apply.

Hay Auction Rules:

• Consignments accepted on the day of sale between 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

• Consigners are urged to list hay in advance of the sale.

• Hay will be sold by the bale times the number on the load unless otherwise determined. To sell by the ton the load must be accompanied by a weight ticket from a certified scale.

• Consigners are responsible for the quality and conditions of hay. Any consigner found to be deliberately misrepresenting or altering their product shall be barred from further participation in sales.

• Sale Lot minimum: 35 small square bales or 3 round or big Squares.

• The commission rate of 6 percent (or a minimum of $6.00 per load) for both hay and straw.

• The bid-in or buy-back charge is 3 percent or a minimum of $6.00.
